BRIGHT HEALTH
While at SpyderTrap, I designed a new watercolor-inspired website for Bright Health and created a playful animation of their existing logo. At the time, they were exploring a rebrand, but I wanted to show how a few thoughtful changes could breathe new life into an identity that already had a lot going for it.

LET'S FLEX
My creative director and I weren’t thrilled with the new logos being explored for the rebrand, so he asked if I wanted to take a shot at a few ideas of my own. We knew they probably wouldn’t be used, but I was totally game. These are some of the concepts I came up with.

SIX SIDED PILLAR
Bright Health had six main pillars that defined their mission. For this concept, I wanted to tap into that idea of support and teamwork. The mark is built from multiple pieces coming together to create a larger whole, representing how each part of Bright Health connects and supports the others.

IT'S A KNOCK OUT
This was my more playful approach, leaning into kids and families. The knocked-out element could change depending on the message or use. For example, the cross could be swapped with a friendly “Hi” on welcome materials, giving the brand a little more personality when it made sense.

GO FOR THE GOLD
This concept has a bit of a retro Olympic feel that I really liked. It finds a nice balance between professional and playful, while the six shapes come together to represent the six pillars behind Bright Health’s mission.
